The Limerick Corporation
commissioned Dulwich Lighting to conceive, write, design
and produce a Son et Lumiere entitled The River of Light,
staged on the night of the Millennium. This unique event,
attracting an audience of 30,000 people along the banks
of the River Shannon, with full Irish television coverage,
celebrated Limerick's culture, past, present and future.
Lasers, large format projection and automated searchlights
illuminated Limerick's two main bridges, Sarsfield and Thommond,
together with the adjacent Castle and city hall over an
area of one mile. |
